This is a drill designed to help a hitter sync their stride and separation in order to get to a strong launch position. Drill goes as follows:
Hitter stands tall with their feet together.
As the hitter strides out with their front foot, they load their hands back, getting into a strong, launch position (we are not loading our legs and trying to over-swing). The goal is to sync this move, to feel the front foot getting down through the heel with good hand separation. This is the strongest hitting position a hitter can get to before they execute a swing.
The goal is to hit a line drive through the middle of the field. This drill can also be executed in front toss or batting practice!!
Add this to your routine hitters!! This is a great drill to help you get into a strong launch position.
