Amani Karim is a graduate Brother Rice High School. After high school, Amani went on to play 4 years of collegiate baseball at Kalamazoo College as a middle infielder. During his time he posted a career .310 batting average while helping lead the team to multiple 20 plus win seasons, a home playoff appearance in 2021, and a record breaking offensive season in 2021. Amani is a 4 year Letter Winner and a 2 time MIAA Academic Honor Roll selection. Amani graduated in June 2021 with his bachelors in Business.

Amani has also been apart of the Michigan Express Baseball coaching staff since 2019, where he works with infielders and hitters. He also works in assisting players in the college recruiting process and has helped multiple players achieve their goal of playing college baseball.
